Minnesota chat 2010 ( . )( . )
I can do that! Its too cold this week, its freaking 32F outside right now with 40 mph wind gusts! The car did not leave the garage today!
I have some hand sanitizer with aloe...works GREAT and doesnt dry out your hands.
all I can think of is more spinning and torq steer....lol 2nd and 3rd would be nice gears to really feel a difference. I miss the torq of the ms3 so this may be a nice bump.
so I ordered 3 sticks of ram for my aging pc to delay a purchase of a new one. well 1 stick is bad, 2 are making it throw blue screens..so I'm gonna return it to newegg...ugh $15 restock fee and 8-9 to ship ups...I may send usps..but damn thats almost a stick right there
stupid ass old pc's...so picky on ram. I'm just gonna make a amd phenom II 6 core when they come out in Q2 this year. **** i hate computers.

I got strep twice this year so far! haha so it must be making its way around bad this year. Ya after 24hours on antibiotics you should be fine to work. I took an extra day just to rest but I would of worked otherwise. But if you work in a "food production plant" then they may be much more tight on sickness.
Generally, it's not a big deal about the sickness thing at our work, but ever since our new GM started, he's only found ways of making everyone miserable and cutting out all our fun. He's against drinking so we didn't have a company party last year (he only wanted us to have a company party somewhere that didn't serve alcohol). He's against the idea that we go out after work once in a while and go to the bar for drinks even though it's off company time and what not. Our old GM had a freakin liquor cabinet in his office and half of the guys at work would have beer and drink in the parking lot or whatever right after work...I have some good stories, but yeah...those days are gone. Old GM was a little too loose with the money for parties and what not, but he was a good boss and would tell you when you fucked up or needed to do something over or different. The new guy won't even confront us if he sees something done wrong or not to standards...he follows chain of command and tells our manager and our manager has to come talk to us...he's just a real dick. He's very superficial as well and could care less about anything we are interested in...a good example is this:
If you were stuck on the side of the road and needed gas, he wouldn't stop to give you a ride to the gas station, he'd drive right by...a real example is that my co-worker was at an SCSU game and he saw our GM in line for food and said hi to him...GM Jim didn't even respond back to him...and they were maybe 5-10 feet away so he saw him, but just ignored him.
Guy that is coming Saturday morning/early afternoon to check out the MSR 045's has a black Cooper S with a white roof...he plans to paint the pinstripe white to match. Sounds like he's got a nice setup. Looking forward to seeing his car, my wife wants one of those so bad...I think they'd be pretty fun too.
I can't wait to SC my car. I've only got about $400 so far put aside for it. I figure I'll need $3000 for the kit, the tune, gauge pod and gauges (what gauges will I want most? Input please...thinking AEM UEGO wideband and boost for sure...do I need anything else?), and installation from Elite Autosports because I need the car down no longer than 1-2 days and if I did it myself, I'd wind up taking a week probably. Shooting for August to have everything purchased....will be putting the wheel money in the bank plus anything I sell on the side along with my Domino's paychecks which are anywhere from $120 to $200 every 2 weeks.

Yeah, my GM was more concerned with the pinkeye than the strep..the thing is we work with Ozone and breathing it can irritate your lungs and throat as is, but when you're sick, it just makes it so much worse...my tonsils were looking horrible....I just don't know why they haven't been removed yet...I always get strep at least once if not twice a year. I think I may have had it 3 times one year outta the past 5. It's a guarantee for me to get it every year.

wideband and a mechanical boost gauge (the ss/sc gauges will not work w/ our computers) are a must. i also went with an aftermarket h/e instead of the stock one (less work). if you are going to go w/ the lsj throttle body, zzp sells an adapter for this (30 shipped), way easier that rewiring your throttle harness.
that's all that i can come up with. I have everything to do mine, just haven't had the time.
ryze maybe able to tune it for ya as well.
Thanks for the info hoffa....I'll see what happens...I know I could install it myself, I just know that I'm lazy and would screw something up and wind up taking at least 2-3 days where as a shop should have it done in a business day. I'm pretty confident in Elite being able to do the work just fine. I know 06_Ion2 has had work done there.
Well the kit is from ZZP, I'm not sure if you are aware of it, but it came out at the beginning of the month and it has the following:
*M62 Supercharger
*Custom ZZP modular pulley system
*LSJ lower intake using Laminova intercooler
*LSJ throttlbody
*39# injectors (base kit)
*Cooler NGK spark plugs
*TB adapter harness
*MAF extension
*2 bar MAP sensor
*Serpentine belt
*ZZP intake tube with K&N filter
*ZZP Alternator spacer
*ZZP idler stand with idler pulley
*Valve cover breather
*Bosch IC pump & mounting bracket
*ZZP S3 heat exchanger
*All nuts, bolts, gaskets, fittings, and hoses needed
*Paper instructions with pictures and a instruction CD
It comes with everything needed to install except the tools!
As you can see from their list....it is an actual bolt-on kit that will allow me to keep my windshield wiper reservoir where it is and also comes with a few nicer items such as the ZZP S3 HE rather than the SS/SC stock HE. I think overall the price range is very good and I only care about a really good tune and it putting out enough power to be fun, but be well within the limits of the engine so I don't have any exploding internals.
Here's a link to their page: https://www.zzperformance.com/cobalt...1165&catid=143
Also, I didn't realize some things were going to be so cheap...mechanical boost gauge is a bit cheaper than I thought it would be. I can get a pretty good deal on the tune from someone else on here...he quoted me at $225 if I use a cable (basically if I hit up 06_Ion2 and use his)....so that would save me almost another $75. This could actually be closer to $2500 depending on how much work I do myself. I may be able to install the gauge pod and gauges without any issues and the header/DP I could do, but I need the cat-back welded (really I could install it all and just have them weld it for me). That would save at least another $100-125.

If I have the time it could be done in my garage(lino lakes), its not too hard and ive got plenty of tools. I just didnt trust myself with internals and clutch install so thats why elite did it for me. Ive done everything else on my car though besides those two things.
Who is all gonna show up at the dealer? just me and devin? :P thats cool...but I'll be there between 9-10am. Ill post up when I leave. friendly fridley. I gotta see if jeff is even going to stop by. Installing the sensors now!
It just depends on how busy I am with the pizza delivery gig....if I'm getting a bunch of hours, then it will happen sooner, if not, then it gets put on hold for that much longer.
Also, if I had garage space I would consider having a rental car for a couple days and doing it myself at home, but since I have my old Saturn in one half and my brother-in-laws possessions in the other half of the garage, I have no place to do work/repairs....time to get the Saturn running and sold (then this could happen a hell of a lot sooner).
I'm still planning on stopping by for a little bit...how long does it take to get this done? Half hour, hour tops? I just wanna see a Cobalt SS/TC in action. A Stage 1 in action would be even more fun to see....are you the first to have this done? Does anybody else here have a tune or anything?

Well, then I guess I have no more excuses....lol.
We'll just have to wait and see when more checks start rolling in, what I'm thinking at that time. I'm pretty psyched and set on doing the SC build for now though...so hopefully it stays that way. Like I said, we'll wait and see what happens tomorrow with my wheels and if they sell, I may have an exhaust system on my car in the upcoming couple weeks...just gotta get that other header for now.
This is what the Pacesetter and Exhaust Depot DP look like where they connect...the hardware pictured...just want to make sure it appears to be just a bolt, washer, nut on each side correct? Sorry if the question sounds stupid, but I wanna stop at the hardware store and match up the nut/bolt's I'll need to get it installed. Will be ordering the gasket for it from JEGS within a few days as well.

...you should take some nice pics of your car with some industrialize backgrounds and then I'll try a 60-70's look.
