So I've come for opinions... Yesterday my shifter became pretty sloppy... Mainly in 1st gear... It moves around more than it should.. It still engages but it doesn't feel solid like it should... Another problem is tryin to slam gears.. 1 to 2 just locks out and now 2 to 3... I know this is because of the stock clutch on so much power .. But anybody have ideas why the shifter would become "loose" is this a hint of terrible things to come?

And I'm not missing gears as in driver error... It literally will not go in gear bc the clutch isn't stony enough...

the shifter forks when you take the stock shifter out you would see them it helps guide the shifter into the gears
or you can check your clutch rod mine has a slight bend in that is causes me to get locked outta gears sometimes when i am banging gears higher up in the rpms.....if you are only getting locked out when your rpms are high its the clutch rod for sure more than likely

yep. but with you being on E85 and making the power you are, I'm going with the clutch. But look behind your clutch pedal and you will see a medal rod. and see if its straight. if its bent you need a new clutch rod.

So at this rate I think we should have a meet at Hoffmans Chevrolet in Hagerstown with all the blown up Cobalt SS/TC's

So can the clutch rod cause the slop from the shifter?
