When we were driving back from Fridays I also noticed that the car is "wobbling" from side to side. So there's something not right there. I'm going to re-torque the wheels again tonight and make sure that's not it. We shall see how things go. I don't want to take a chance of really FUBARing something.

Ewwwwww.... almost sounds similar to a wheel bearing going poopy.

I really am going to start stock-piling up parts here just -in-case.

225/45's have a larger circumference than 235/40's. It's probably the height causing them to rub, not the width.

Help a brother out... how do I get a little rub up front? I could go for one right about now.

Well... had you shown up for Autocross on Sunday.... there was alot of candidates there.

One of my cousin's friends on a sport bike ( GSX-R 600 ) was a HOTTIE & Not attached.

But... no.. I was the lone Cobalt.

BJ stopped by, and i saw 2 SS/SC's ( 1 arrival blue, and 1 red ) go around the pool... but that was it

LOL you guys kill me.

Brian, wheel bearings are on the list to check. What pisses me off is 90% of the stuff that needs replaced was taken to a dealership AT LEAST 3 times. They all brushed it off as either "we can't replicate the problem" or "yeah, they do that sometimes, it's no big deal" (<--calipers).

Oh well, I'm talking to my uncle about dropping by one day while the regional service rep is out at their dealership and giving him an earful about how shitty GM's dealerships in the Pittsburgh area are. 2,000 f'ing dollars to fix **** that should have been fixed for free. Oh well, I guess my consolation is supposed to be that I'm replacing broken **** with higher quality ****....

I think that's the horn on the firehouse right near you. I can hear it too, in addition to the one at #8 on Highland. Scares the crap out of you when you're sitting in traffic right in front of one of them! #8's horn went off just as I was pulling out from the stop sign a couple weeks ago; I about shat myself...

Buy a Honda.

At least, that's what the self-absorbed, ignorant Honda owner I work with would say. She's one of those "import snobs"...

Believe me, I get that from my friends too, including Melissa.

It's not totally a bad thing that stuff is happening, I mean it DOES give me the opportunity to beef up stuff that probably SHOULD be beefed up for auto-x and road racing.

Not particularly. She's average.. not hot.

Although you'd probably get a much different answer if you asked her.

I don't think I could bring myself to drive a Honda. An Acura.. hell yes, because they at least have some styling. But a box- (or Easter egg, depending on what year)-on-wheels just doesn't do it for me...

Well, I'm headed out to catch the bus to Monroeville in about 10 minutes to steal my own car and go to Scottdale to pick up my dog. Other than that, I dunno. If there's anything going on, let me know since I'll be out and about most of the evening. I just have to be back in the Monroeville vicinity by 9:30.

Oh, I know. But here, Acura's power and styling kicks Honda's ass... even if they ARE the same company. My point is, people who drive beat-up '96 Accord's shouldn't talk crap on Cobalts!!
