Wes and I went from a 40 and I was at his door handel at 4th... right by his face adn the flames thet shot out of his car, the ones in the beggening of the fast and the furious had nothing on these lol.

Haha yeah, damn my car for being slow. I need to run Al and see if its just your car being unusually fast as usual, or if the 2.8s aren't really that bad.

With the noise i heard from the motor, first thing I looked for was a trail of oil when I got out, haha.

 

I'm knocking on wood like crazy, but why does it seem like most IRLs are tanks, esp. modded ones, versus Balts? Sure they've had some issues...but hell, I'm getting close to a year with dan.Spec and haven't had many issues...and we have the same damn powertrain...

I'm thinking it's just driving habits. I drive hard every now and then, but not all the time. The more I mod the more cautious I am. I just pretend there's nitrous attached to my gas pedal...and I don't wanna be on it all the time haha

 

It's all in the tune as far as the motor. I know Dan has my spark table a little more aggresive than others. The only reason I am having troubles now is cause I got the higher comp pistons with this 2.5 pulley. Either need to drop the pulley or get Meth. I am running a solid 11.5 AFR now. Gets a little bit lean up top, but still under 12.

No one with Dan.spec has yet to nuke their motor, so the only thing you need to worry about is your blower, lol.

I was planning on installing a downpipe and dual pass end plate on my car today. I don't have my E sockets tho. /glare Wes

They are in my garage, in the toolset. With your shop manual and somethings too. I can probably head out to help ya Al, but I can't stay for more than a couple hours.

 

I need reverse torx "E" sockets and Mr. Frazier has mine. Although this is probably a dumb question, do you have the tools for it?

 

I guess I will be heading over too for a bit then. I wanna see how the process of putting the end plate and H/E on is. Seeing as I need to do both anyway.

It was a pleasure meeting you guys at the Irwin show. I'll keep you all posted on the PRP track rental, probably within the next 6-8 weeks we're shooting for it to happen.

Well, I'm beat. Denny, Dan P and I autocrossed today and we all had a blast ( at least I think they had a good time ). I didn't do too bad I think. Denny was doing REALLY well for his 1st time out. Everyone commented on the cool black EVO.

Dan P. kept getting quicker as teh day went on and was down in decent times. The car looked good running the course in the sportlines. I think Dan is wanting some stickier tires for sure.

If it's not raining, I will be @ PRP as well.
