how about you stick a bunch of the emblems on them instead and then randomly rip them off...

every wendsday is test and tune day.
i looked at stock mustang times and they were around 15.1 i think. thats putting out their 210 hp stock.
I havent been to a track yet so i got no clue what i'll do. im not stock but im not fully moded either.
i know i'll crush my friends mx3. he has like 98 hp probably 105ish cause he has a nice CAI and bigger throttle body. he doesnt have much weight on him either cause the car is so small. but im not worried of him.

if anyone is planning on taking a trip down, i'll be coming from downtown pittsburgh if it doesnt rain. looking to put some good numbers up with an auto.

what would be the best way to launch? already in drive with the car at 2k rpms or Neutral with the car around 4k?

I was being sarcastic. Dont N drop it from any rpm. Pre-load the suspension and drivetrain with your foot on the brake and revs as high as you can go without overpowering the brakes. When the last yellow light goes on, take your foot off the brake and roll into the gas firm and steady.

You're not going to come close to touching him. That's modded and tuned 2.4 auto time.

Not even. My car was fairly modded and tuned (even the TCM) and it ran somewhere around that. A 2.4L Cobalt/G5 without any TCM tuning is going to be mid 15's.

As far as launching: full brake with the left foot, full gas with the right foot. It'll keep the RPMs around 2500 all day like that. Just let off the brake when you see the last yellow light turn on. Keep it in L for the best launch. Pop it into I slightly before redline in first. You should be able to ride it out from there. You'll need to switch to D at the end of third, but you'll be past the 1/4 mile mark IIRC.

Yeah, and he's in a 2.2. So there's about 1 second difference between the two I would guess?

We meet up in Pittsburgh from time to time I guess. I wouldn't mind going to one closer to Uniontown as that's where all my family lives. Sometimes if the weather is decent a few of us will show up to the car cruise at Norwin Hills shopping center in Irwin on Saturdays.

I'd be down for a meet as long as it is a little more central then Greensburgh. I live in Cranberry so that's a haul. I dunno if any of you are interested but there's a HUGH car cruse in Wexford every Friday. Couple hundred cars. It's supposedly the largest weekly car cruse on the east coast...

Occasionally that happens. I'd be down, but most of the Pittsburgh people prefer PRP to an actual track. I'd be down to go, I just hate that they want you to pay to watch.

Starlite is usually out for me unfortunately because of work. I'm not done until 5, don't get home until 6-6:30, so it's 7pm at the earliest before I get there and IIRC you're not allowed to save spaces up there for late comers.

it's pretty awesome! They added a second parking lot up on the hill and that normally gets filled up too. Silent what kind of bike do you have?

Yeah, I was able to go last year when I got off work at a decent time. Now I have no time for anything in the evenings and it BLOWS. Hopefully before the year's out I'll get a chance to stay late and get out early on a Friday and head up, but with my luck it will rain that day

wont some come to PRP wendsday and put up some drag numbers. gates open at 530, races at 630 i believe.

I'll be having my cobra radar detector and BM shift plus so if anyone wants to buy these, i'll have them there. i'll even help install the bm shift plus. installs in like 5 mins. just need a splicing tool and we are good.

I think we can give you just about any Cobalt/Redline drag time possible from existing slips PRP was the big thing to do last year and the year before.

For everyone. We all used to go about every week. ****, I even ran. Actually I think I'm the only one in this group that can produce a 10 second time slip.
