I'd love to go. Wanted to wait until I get a header on the car, but meh. Let me know if there is room for more.

I'd be fkn pissed if I don't see atleast 320. But who knows, I could be a terrible tuner.

Hey Frew, if you are serious about demodding and getting rid of the car, I will take that head off your hands. Would even do all the labor to swap it. Just letting you know.

Eh, it really isn't different than tuning gas. Change stoich value, and tune MAF like normal. Then just jack the **** out of timing.

My drivability is a little harsh, but I think once I get VE dialed in, that should fix.

It depends, you know how tuning LSJ's are basically random. Even with dynamic airflow disabled, I think the car still uses VE for shifts and cruising. I actually have DFCO disabled ATM for tuning purposes, and somehow the car actually kicked itself into DFCO anyway.

Camaro's probably aren't as bad.

Ya my car is a colossal PITA in this regard as well... Mine will also hit DFCO with the parameters set where it is impossible to enable. It also still seems to blend VE despite disabled at 2 RPM. Like you said though, it should use the VE except when blended on transition states during crusing. Shifts should hit clutch fuel cutoff, so I'm not sure about VE there. Despite all that, I still will likely run MAF only.

I run MAF only too, but I believe it still uses VE somehow.

Normally I wouldn't care, but the car spits and sputters when trying to downshift and drive normal. Then surges. Only started doing this once I went E85.

Only way to tell is dial VE in and see wtf happens.

Sure, I'd say get it dialed in nice and then see how well it performs then. I bet it will be very nice. I believe I remember reading somewhere that the older 16 bit PCMs relied on the VE a bit more for a little bit of blending in transitional states than the 07' 32 bit PCMs did, but I could always be wrong.

Is your idle cleaned up nicely with E85 and the lower fuel pressure of the BRFPS? You still using an adder table for the injectors? I know on mine I have to have the adder min pw set to 0 so it won't use the adders, or my idle will surge a bit.

Yeah, car idles great. Cold starts are kinda lol with E85. But meh. Car really isn't a daily driver. I take the tp ******* to work and woman takes bus. Cobalt only gets driven when there is reason too.

You mean short pulse width? Yeah I have that 0 out. I may try and tweak some of that with another spreadsheet of injector settings I got. But the car seems fine so, meh.

Good to hear lol. I'm going to be looking forward to this good idling with the BRFPS. Now I just need to get some more local E85. I really wish Sheetz or GetGo would get on the ball around here. Greensburh, Irwin, Murrysville, etc, etc, just somewhere closer than Monroeville and around PGH lol. Too far for me. I need timing!

I'd possibly be in for some dyno runs depending on price and the state of my car at the time. Location and day?

Lol, no hurry Frew. I still have lots of little things I want to do first. I didn't even plan on doing head/cams this season. Was going to use next years tax return.

Only buggin ya cause I was going to have Junior in CA do mine, and figure since you already have one of his heads....
