Wow that is really shitty that you're still having problems with you kit. Maybe zip tie a gauge to the wipers temporarily, so you can see it while you drive?
Well... I would reallllly appreciate it if I could try your spare setup, and if you don't mind sending ZZP back a bad unit, swap it out for mine? I'm pretty convinced my reg is bad, as I don't see anything else effecting this. If you are willing, I can ride out and meet you anytime. It would be super to have a working car again lol. I'm at the casino now with really spotty data coverage, so if you'd txt me tonight I'd really appreciate it.

I still got coupe taillights and a low pro orange wing for sale....
Also, any of you guys know on the 2.2 motor wheres the best place for the oil pressure gauge? My current spot in the head is proving to not be reliable...

Take off the intake manifold and put it the gallery plug closest to the passengers side. I used a 90 degree fitting so it wouldnt hit off the manifold.
111,000 + miles of hard driving. I wanna know whats going on, and know there's a problem before it does terminal damage.
Heres the 90:

Heres the Autometer Metric adapter:

Take the metric adapter and put it into the oil gallery plug on the passenger side. Then put the 90 on to that followed by your sending unit. Most sending units use 1/8 NPT Threads if its different use a different 90
Heres a pic from Bfaulks turbo build. Mine is the same but my sending unit is a little smaller.

Thats B-e-a-utiful man!!
and ya, the intake is not that hard to remove. We just weren't sure of the correct location.
Question tho, Is it at all possible to use the galley on the drivers side? The one next to the oil filter?

The passenger side is the only place I could find that it would work without hitting the back of the manifold just because of how its made. Once you tear it off youll understand what I mean. If you can fit it there try it. I couldnt because of how long my sending unit was. I dont know if it will read any different there or not. The gallery plugs come out with a 6mm allen wrench. I had to use a cheater bar (1" exhaust pipe) on the end of the allen key to get it out. Dont overtighten the metric adapter either or it will leak. I used Permatex high temp thread sealant with it also on all the threads. No leaks at all!

Thanks!
I dont think there is many problems related with oil pressure with ecotec motors with miles
Gauge went in back when I was still planning to Supercharge the car. That plan got scrapped because of the milage on the engine, but I enjoy having that gauge there for safety.
Easy there bud settle down, I wasn't trying to be a dick or anything but if you really want the truth the only way that motor is gonna lose oil pressure is probably a leak from putting that dumb gauge in, your not turbo'd and our scs are a sealed unit and do not use a circulating oil systems so there's no point in having it then either, if you really wanted a usless gauge shoud have saved yourself the trouble and put in a voltmeter
Thinking about it. But may go junkyarding and clean up the shop instead. Kinda burned out on car shows.
You can keep your useless voltmeter. Its not your car, and im not you. so dont worry about it.
