Because it's cheap and a standard, so you can compare to other cars.
How many times have I raced, including my old cars, compared you. Not to mention how many days of racing I can do compared to your few hours at the squirrelly track.
I'm sure it's fun and all, but it just isn't worth the money. Especially on lap days since you don't get times so you have no idea if you're doing better or worse.

You can try to tune tq management to save your clutch on shifts. I would just install the gmpp unit, though. Love mine completely.
How many miles you have on stocker? When did it start slipping?

60k on the stock, it started slipping maybe 3 months ago only on the 1-2 shift so I may need torque management, I planned on going with the gmpp I hear its a pretty stout unit

When I race, I enjoy it. Drag racing doesn't show off anything except what you've done to the engine. I like racing on my "squirrelly track" because it takes more than just a motor with ***** to run well.
I think it's worth every penny I've put into it and more. I have times for every track day I've done, they're just not printed out on a grocery store receipt to show to people. I know on average what I run, and what other people are running, and all that fun junk.
It's a matter of personal taste is all.
It takes a lot more than just a motor to go straight. If it weren't for your suspension, etc, I would be able crack off an 11 before this season is over.
There is a reason why an almost stock powertrain LNF runs low 12s - high 11s.

Zzp has alot of trick they don't reveal along with alot of resources and money, its there business to go fast remember that, I would say your car should be good for a 12 second pass, if you ask me that's not too shabby, now back to setting up this race business ;-)
