That's identical to the ZZP/Comp Cam S2 cam specs.

If you are correct that is great info.

I'll just purchase those one day

No need for solid lash adjusters with those cams (unlike the GMR's).

sorry man i think the gmrs are intake 218 and exh 220 they were a tad bit more aggresive than the zzp stage twos but not as aggressive as their 3s

gm dosent measure cams like the rest of the industry dose which is @.050 gm uses 1mm which will make the cams look bigger. the specs on the spec sheet on the zzp stg2 cams are different then what zzp is listing which zzp is using 1mm not @.050 here is the @.050 specs of the zzp stg2 cams

int lift is .423
int dur@.050 210
lobe sep 110

exh lift is 419
int dur@.050 212
lobe sep 113

Yeah, just caught that while reading through the build book last night.

Meh, close enough for me.

My ultimate goal is to find a GMR exhaust ported head, add Comp cam/ZZP S2 cams, and Supertech 78lb valve springs and retainers.

That goal is on hold until I get a ring for the little lady

You know it man!

Yeah, I had her tested out 2 years ago.

The numbers were 274-275whp, 241-243wtq on 93 pump

& 282whp, 251wtq on 100 race gas (not bad for a straight GMR S3 tune, 76mm pulley, & bolt ons).

I havent tested since because my local dyno shop closed

Once I get the car to where I want, I will re-test even if I have to travel.

Hopefully, with cams and a ported head I will see closer to 300whp (although 300whp is not the main goal).

I will have zzp stage two cams, 82# valve springs, new valve seals, and a ported head that flows better than the gmr

Let me know how you like the S2 cams.

I was thinking of asking ZZP if they could could have comp cams grind me a set of cams to meet the GMR specs.

As appealing as cams sound I think I still might only look into cam gears...but I also want 8k revs and not have the power drop off real bad by then

From my research, and talking to some peeps, the gmr cam gears are a pain in the ass to setup. Although, this is what the Time Attack ran, I think cams might be an easier option.

I've reved out that high a few times, but dropped the limiter back down to 7250rpm where it's been for 3 years now. I'll wait until my valvetrain is upgraded before winding her out that far again.

**** I reved to 7800 no issues and all cam gears do is move your powerband around are a pain to setup and a tuning headache. Cams will move it a little but make good power on top of it

only time someone does is if they did the build themselves and messed something up. Only thing the lsj is known for is busting ringlands, and at high enough power and stupidity sleeves
