Just make sure it goes as vertical as possible up to turbo. FOr example like this \ insteadof like this L. If that makes any sense lol. I also have like a stem, inside line, that comes out of pan and makes sure no dip in line. Its also possible to clog return if your on incline, all oil goes to back of pan, blocks the return opening( believe this was solved with new oil pan. Think about it, if the return bung is blocked with oil, the returning oil is never gonna make it back into pan, just gonna back up and burn up in turbo. My extremely low oil level would have never happened on the street, I check levels everyday. But when I went and beat on it on autox, oil slooshes around and could very easily cause a situation that would never happen on street. Sorry for the rambling thought process

So i figured out what killed my ebay turbo... Like an idiot i used RTV to seal the threads on the ecotec oil feed adapter to the block instead of pipe tape since it was missing out of my tool box. It must have smushed some out in the block a little, then over the last month broke free. I run a .050 oil restrictor to keep oil pressure in the turbo down, well the RTV found that hole and starved the turbo for oil. The turbo wouldve still been alive had i not tried to cut a corner.

yeah but I ordered a new ebay turbo again, $118 shipped. Then another $80 for a genuine garrett rebuild kit. Should last another 3+ years.

is the trap door something I should get if I don't do any auto x? should I look into it for peace of mind or is my money better spent elsewhere? I still need to get the f23 rotated mounts and a rear sway bar, not sure how extreme I want to go on that yet

you don't have to spend so much money on a interceptor.I bought a ELM327 OBD2 blue tooth reader and use the APP Torque.$15 on the ELM327 and $5 for torque and then a couple bucks on a cell phone mount. It shows every PID.I have mine on IAT1,Timing advance, and Knock Retard. It also reads codes, erase codes, data logs, shows monitor status, all sorts of cool things.I love it.
