Update to this: got the new oem belt on and same thing is happening. Might try again to fit the oversized pulley but I doubt it will work

Ended up being loose/broken intake manifold hardware causing. When pressure was applied to tensioner to compress it a bit while running it took out enough pressure off the blower (and the intake manifold) so the noise stopped.

Got new hardware with bigger washers and lock washers and all torqued down to 89in-lbs. Should be good now I think lol

I just finished installing power windows, mirrors and locks last week on mine, and re-upholstered the seats in black vinyl.

Why not do the internals before they fail?

anybody want to buy a built 2.2 engine? I'm thinking about parting the car out and putting the funds towards the lsj that I just bought. If you can trade your stock 2.2 that would be even better i want to put it back to stock and then sell it

I would be saving for that engine now if only it was a LAP. Anyways though, I'm on IRL wheels, Koni's and YYZ V.3 springs. Mostly complete SS/SC interior swap and turbo build on the way.
