painted calipers

Im in the process of painting my calipers red. Just got a can of 1,200 degree paint from o'riely autoparts. I got the drivers front done so i have three more to go. I'll post up some pics laster tonight when i'm done.

BTW, red calipers look absolutely sick on a laser blue 'balt

UPDATED: got done with the left side of the car. Just gonna do the right side tomorrow morning, here's some pictures.

This first one is the front of the car. and NO the wheel gap is not that big lol, its cause it's jacked up in the rear.

Also, on this one ^^^ it looks like i painted the brake pad, nope, its taped don't worry.

bump to the top

use the wrench from the jack kit in the trunk and get a long metal pipe and slide it over the end, then stand on it.

Wow, uh, you probably should have just unbolted the caliper from the axle instead of putting yourself through all of that masking. Did you read any of the How-to's on this subject? That are very helpful.

Did you use ceramic paint like the dupli-color kit? If not, did you put a clear on it? I've seen calipers that were painted with high-temp paint that didn't turn out so well because of no clear coat and poop prep work.

yes i used the duplicolor

no this is not my first time painting calipers

i didn't feel like reading the how to cause i've done it before, taping works just fine for me cause it only took me 5minutes to tape. then i just sprayed it with a light coat, let it dry for 5 minutes, then sprayed two more coats.
