Need info on how to change 2006 2.4 transmission. thx in advance.

 

what r u changing it to? a 5 speed?

 

oh no just routine changes that's all. I have 80,000 miles on it and havnt changed it yet. it starts shifting hard when i WOT it so i just want to learn how to change it on my own. I do all the other routine changes on my own. I know its a sealed transmission.

 

This is for a fluid change then? You probably have to drop the pan if you want to do it yourself. The quick change places (vlavoline, jiffy lube, ets.) usually have a machine that plugs into the transmission lines and swaps the fluid that way.

 

take it to a shop that does the service you can't do it yourself. i do trans flushes for a living.

dropping the pan does not get all the fluid out and is a bad idea if you don't clean it right and install a new gasket.
