Is it bad to erase the CEL?

Quick noob question. So I got the P0171 code from my intake, I had made sure that nothing else is triggering this code. Is it bad to erase the codes from the memory? I got a scanner and was wondering if I do this everytime I get that code, will it show stored later if I ever have go to the dealership for other problems. Don't want them to make a fuzz about it.

Thanks guys.

That's what I was thinking. Thing is IDK anybody who has HP tuners. But that sounds like a better solution
