Exclamation Bad IC pump?

So for the last couple of days my car has developed a noticable "ticking" noise. At first I thought it might be the chain tensioner but upon further inspection I noticed that the noise did not change with engine RPM, also it seems to be coming from somewere under the passanger headlight. I can post a video if needed.

That doesn't sound like a bad IC pump but just be on the safe side, get under the car with the IC cap open and smack the IC pump with a hammer or something a couple times and see if it over flows.

^^ The pump still seems to be working, but I'm just concerned that it might be going out. I never had that "tick" now it's reallty noticable, if its not the IC pump what do you think it might be.
