If it never gets driven in the winter... why don't you disconnect one of the terminals?

dude, get a battery tender. they're usually used on like motorcycles and classics and so on, but they're like $20.

exactly my thoughts. a battery tender will keep it up when its sitting for a long time. its one of those things you should put on at the time you put fuel stabilizer in the fuel. and still, should start it once a week and run it for a bit.

give them a call. wish optima made a battery for our cars tho. If you store it put some sort of battery tender on it and when u do start it don't just start it and shut it down. worst thing you can do to a battery. take it around the block or something.

yeah the pcm will relearn the fuel trim so its ok you won't harm anything by unhooking a battery for an extended period

If you allow the battery to go dead ,it will then freeze and warp the plates,
Try bringing it inside for the night to unthaw and check it for 12 volt in the morning.
If you have 12 volts in the morning charge it up and it might be still okay.
And donot store the battery on cement keep it on a peice of wood.
