Car problem
My 06 balt finally ran into a problem. Im sorta stumped as to what it is.
On wed. i was in stop and go traffic and was doing about 40 when i downshifted to 3rd and gave it gas to pick up speed, the car jumped alittle then fell on its face then picked up agian. it was weird but i shrugged it off and shifted to 4th fine no problems then i 5th. the car started bucking tach went dead.
hit the flashers and downshifted to 4th and the car seemed fine but i was still headed for the shoulder of the highway never once thru a light so i tried 5th agian, it didnt buck but the motor whouldnt rev at all and i was losing speed. down the 4th i went and still had 2 more lanes of highway to shift to the shoulder.
well 4th started acting up and the car whouldnt rev in 4th. down to 3rd i went and 45mph in a 70mph zone and the car reacted normal. i got to the shoulder and as soon as the car came to a stop it was acting like it was going to stall rpms all over the place motor shacking i shut it off. it sputtered afew times then turned off. not once did the ses light come on.
Sat for 5 min...turned the car on and it was fine. not one problem and still no ses light, tach worked everything. so i went home.
took my 45min trip to work the next day and not 1 problem. then low and behold it did it agian on my way home from work. this time it was diffrent. i still got the same fall on the face feeling when i hit 3rd and gave it gas,tach still worked this time but this it was really weird the tach whould climb and everything but it was producing no power at all the boost meter whould hit 5psi and stop like the SC wasnt doing anything at all. I slowly started to lose speed... the ses light came on and i got a reduced engine power warning on the cluster.
call the dealer when i was packed on the shoulder and told them i was bringing the car in.
i waited 5 min turned the car on and the redued warning went away but the ses light was still on, supercharge was responding so i was on my way to dealer, car hit about 2500 rpm then i heard something funny. i went to nutural and bliped the throtle and when it hits about 3k rpm i get a wey loud sqeak like a belt slipping noise from under the hood.
i get to the dealer and they say the code was a coolent sensor problem. they cleared it and it didnt come back but the annoying ass loud sqeak is still there when the car rev's =\
i left it with them to see if they can figure it out.
Anyone else had a problem like this?
