Hey guys, I got a letter from GM about the semi catalytic converter recall. Anyone on here have access to gm' where they can plug in my vin and see if i do in fact qualify? Car is a 2007 ss/sc.

I called my dealer and they said i would need a CEL on to qualify which is shitty, because i did throw a p0172 that keeps coming on and going off.

1G1AP15P277169524 is my VIN.

 

take the letter with you. the letter states a free test on the converter.

 

pretty sure all ss/sc qualify for the special coverage. yours is covered for sure though. as long as your not over 120 000 miles. the code you need should be a p0420 cat efficiency. at that point the cat will be tested and prolly replaced. if you don't have that code, the cat is still good.

 

Thanks guys. p0430 I will keep an eye out on that. Now i have to just worry about this pesky p0172 too rich code.
