My was brand spanking new on October 1st. I've had a very minor ticking coming from behind the radio. Cavalier did the same thing. Haven't had it in to get it looked at but I know its a wire tapping against the plastic...
and my polished rims are pitted all to hell from the brake dust. I swear, washing them once a week isn't enough!
Other than that, my car is the best!

brake rotors warped in my opinion for no reason. sunroof thing did weird once but didnt fall out. its fine now. the shift knob face plate came off have yet to glue it back on. once the car just started running like **** for no reason and i got a CEL but let the car sit for like 10 min and it hasnt done it since. Im guessing it got something in the intake it didnt like.

That clunking is making me nuts, are there any easy fixes or remedies for that?

I have experienced the:
1. weak tranny
2. weak axles
3. rattles in the rear seat,
4. air dam falling off (crappy plastic pushpin things fell out)
5. clunky suspension
6. leather upholstery pulling up around passenger door grip
7. crappy interior bezel paint
8. sunroof bezel falling out (and being told it was from someone messing with it and not warrantieable)
9. and the radio randomly changing sources when i turn off the car sometimes.

blown tranny at 8k miles
crappy brake rotors that like to fade
paint coming off window switch bezels
subwoofer fell apart with only mild usage
random rattles
rear fender liners come loose (retainer clips fall out)

and i still like this car

The plastic cover on the shifter of the SS/SC models always breaks off, this is #3 for me in 1 year.

1) vibrations, vibrations, vibrations.
2) wipers stop in the middle of the windshield when they're speed is changed during function.(sometimes)
3) mystery click when starting off(maybe axles?)

thats about it...

Anyway, my ebrake is weak as hell. It won't hold the car in my driveway which has a slope to it. Talked to the dealer about it and they said there was nothing wrong with it.
isnt the ss supposed to cut out at 150

Most common problem "Is that a new cavalier?" -_-

Oh and not enough aftermarket vendors working on parts for it.

Mechanically though? God damn stock wheels on are crap, went 4000 miles before it needed to be rotated. Never had that issue with a vehicle before.

This has been covered. The car has a governor. You did not buy an F1 racer you bought a Cobalt

Faulty fuel pump connector - cause the car to shut off at 120km/h once. FIXED!
My stereo is having some alternator interference problems. Soon to be fixed.

That's about it.

1. shitty interior paint peal.
2. Shitty rotors and pads. (turned once for groving, need to be turned again)
3. Suspension sueeks when cold. (most cars do that in winter though)
3. rough idle when cold. rpm will spike up and down. (suspect it is either my tune or the cold air intake and air density. MAF

but I still love the car.

Original rotors warped, had them resurfaced. Warped again, dealer installed GMPP rotors, warped again, gave up hope.

Interior trim pieces continuously peeling.

My passanger window goes up slow as ***** too. If I make them both go up at the same time the passanger window takes a good 20 seconds.
