Electrical Issues!>?

The wierdest thing has started to happen on my car, first the driver side window stopped working, then the next day the god damn doorlocks on the drivers side and two days after that my front speakers stop working.

The speakers i can contribute to a bad ground (even though i have never messed with anything electrical on this car at all!!!!!!

but the driver side panel not working is pissing me off, and to top it all off im to afraid to bring it to the dealer because i recently painted my my peices on the doors because all the paint had begun to peel off so i did a custom black metalflake throughout the car and i dont want them to attribute my proplems to that!

what am i to do????

well...assuming that you have at least an idea of how to paint something have the dealer prove to you that the paint caused it...if they do try to blame it on that.

hopefully u properly took apart all the pieces and taped stuff off. if they it apart and find overspray in the switches or stuff like that then you will get screwed. also, are you sure when reassembling the door you hookd up all the conectors properly

Yes i am positive i hooked it up correctly, i ended up having to take the whole door panel off to get my window on my drivers side up,

I am also a ASE certified master tech and i have worked @ BMW now for three years and am only a few steps away from a BMW master tech and have absolutley no idea what is going on, i tried just about everything i could to jerry rig this thing I tried everything to get the window up finally i just had to remove the window motor and manualy roll up the window. It really has just about put me over the edge with chevy. I already had a Stupid Chevy Service Monkey tell me that i had irregular wear and tear on my tires because of a chunk missing due to a rock most likely! And this was just a rutine service about 4000 miles after i owned the car. Then i got a letter saying my warranty would be voided if the car wasnt brought in for its 21000 mile service, meanwhile i called anouther chevy dealership and they told me there is no 21000 mile service for my car. I hate car dealerships and i spend 80% of my time at one!~

I now will never bring it to the dealership until of course a problem like this occurs.

Was just trying to feel around and see if anyone had any similiar problems!

May be you shorted something out check the fuses.
You didnt say if you checked them.
And next time you can jumper the window motor from a 12v feed to raise it.

I tried Jumping it, not a single wire in the door worked, Used a test light to find ones that carry power vs ground no luck at all! Im starting to think it may be a fuse but that really doesnt make sense because the passenger window will still go up with the switch on the drivers side of the car!

Did you jumper 12v to the motor that will tell you it not the motor,(reverse the jumper wires to change direction)
Check for voltage at the motor when switch is on.
I will check the wiring diagram tommorow for more info for you.
