Engine seized

Welp my engine is seized. Pretty sure the oil pump failed. So where should I go next? Attempt a rebuild or search for another motor? Need some input here.

Step one would be to tear down the engine and see what actually failed, then decide what to do from there.

If the oil pump did actually fail, youre probably better off looking for a new engine.

It's been at a shop I haven't had time to look at it with work. I asked them what caused it and they didn't have an answer. Tried to rotate the crankshaft and apparently got nothing. All I can think of is the pump failing because I checked the oil level a few days before it happened and was near full. Why do you say it'd be better? I'm concerned with buying a motor and just inheriting the problems from it as opposed to trying to rebuild

Because if the engine is actually seized, the crank and rods are likely trash and the block/pistons could have some nasty wear. In this case the engine is not really rebuild able.

Also this. My buddy's Ion had a seized AC compressor and the motor wouldnt even turn over. Try taking the belt off and then spinning the engine over.

could be the Supercharger, AC or alternator. Technically it could even be the water pump causing it.

2.0 SC. I need to get it back from the shop and check there unless they have. Haven't gotten an exact cause yet.

Not too hopeful though.

This. And even though there was no load on my engine when it seized, my built head (which is the only thing transferred to the new LDK engine) was "twisted" by overheating and had to be machined twice to make it fit on the new block.
