Unhappy Help!!

I have the 2006 Cobalt 2.0L SS and the engine went out. I had a guy rebuild it and got it back in March. I know at the least my timing chain is done, if not more. This car has been a money pit, but I still owe on it and can't get rid of it. I need recommendations on whether I should rebuild the engine again or get a new engine. Money is an issue, and I've never worked on a car myself. Any advice is appreciated. I like the car and it has potential if I can get it running correctly.

Thanks,
Tony Stark

You'll never get your money out of the car if you're not doing the work yourself.

Just don't go back to the same mechanic.

Kinda depends on what went wrong with your engine exactly and what kind of damage it caused. Rebuilds will stack up more cost in labor which can get close to the price of a new short or long block.
