I know, but any aftermarket equipment should get its on powersource, even if its just an LCD screen

You should have never hooked that air ride into an existing circuit. It simply has too much current draw. You should have made a dedicated circuit. You have fried something, and it will be blamed on your air ride installation. Sorry dude.

The passkeyIII system is on every cobalt stock so you do have an alarm on it. It is a passive type of security. I was under the impression that if it senses that something with the key or ignition is not right, it locks you out of the electrical system and leaves you unable to start the car. I don't know much more than that but it seems possible that the air ride may potentially be playing a role. I have heard of things like this happening when people are using HP Tuners with the car on and the computer gets pissed at them. Anyways, I think it would be a good idea to check all your fuses, especially the one for the security system as tricky1 already said.

ya im putting a big note on it, or else i could see them putting it on a hoist for some reason and pop.......

BTW i know for sure it wasnt the airride... ive looked at everything and im guessing its a BCM... but yes i know the airride is tappd into it.... also there is not much draw from the airride..... the airride its self is directly to the battery on a switch... this is just used as like a trigger so it knows when to turn on or off

Doesn't matter. The BCM does not like things taking from it. It does a great deal of it operations by sensing voltages. And if a system not controlled by the BCM is taking power, the BCM is going to freak out.

Ya gotta give him credit, he's trying stuff most won't. Sometimes projects blow up in your face and cost you money. These are good lessons though, you usually don't make costly mistakes twice!
