Issue When Getting Gas. (Car revs weird after filling)

So I'm having this weird issue where every time I get gas when I start the car it only revs to 500rpm (feels almost like it's stalling) then shoots up to 2000rpm real quick. And if I'm just sitting in neutral it'll keep bouncing between 500-2200rpm for until I start driving. Even if I drive for a sec (like to merge back onto the road leaving the gas station) when I stop, it does it again. Typically once I'm driving for like 30 seconds and stop it'll be back to normal. I was also watching my gas gauge when I was filling up last time and it was bouncing around all over the place pretty fast (1/2 tank, then 3/4, then 1/2, then full, then 3/4 again, etc). Really weird. It only happens when I get gas, no other time.

Oh, and this started about a week and a half or so ago (filled up several times since then, I do a lot of driving for work).

Thoughts?

93 octane (usually Shell or Sunoco, never no-name gas stations). I bought my car new almost exactly 2 years ago and that's all I've ever put in it.

Thats the same problem I was having but the gas pump wouldnt be able to pump sometimes. Turn on your car to the ON position and wait 10-15 seconds and then start the car, if it has a rough idle then turn it off and do this again and you should be fine. The fuel pump is just re-pressurizing the system. If your throwing a code it should be a EVAP code. My car is at the dealership now to get the solenoid replaced. code was P0496

I've tried turning it to on (not the engine though) for like 15 seconds and starting it but never tried turning it right off. I'll try that next time.

How much is/was it to fix?
