I will admit I have recently got the same problem on my car. Occurs going over large or small bumps. I have heard it might be the control arm bushings and one of mine is cracked but ironically its for the driver side (noise is louder on the passenger side). OP, have you recenty been lowered?

Most likely your Swaybar links.

^This. I had the same issue and had my swaybar links replaced and now, no more noise.

The major knock ended up being the control arm bushing but the sway bar links also need replacing. i picked up the parts already and im goning to start tearing into it tommorow. is this a REAL big job? i've got a press at work i can use but i dont wanna bite off more than i can chew here....
