figured i would just combine 2 threads into one since they are in the same section anyways.
first off, sometimes on start up or when im sitting at a red light i get this knocking noise that comes from the rear drivers side. it is usually 3 or 4 knocks. they happen about 0.5 secs apart. it literally sounds like someone is knocking on the side of my car. ive had friends riding with me and they looked back because they thought someone was knocking on the car. im just wondering what it could be. it only happens at idle.
and second, since my car was bought in 06 (2007 model year) the service manual says 5 years/160,000kms for a coolant flush. just wondering the best way to drain all the old coolant, and what mix i should use. car is a stock 07 g5 gt (2.4l) gonna be getting tuned in the spring (probably doesnt matter)
thanks
oh and when im braking and i put it in neutral, my abs will start to go off on the ice, and if i try to put it into first. with the clutch all the way down, it grinds and then pops in. normal?

You will have to open the hood and listen for the knocking noise at idle to see if thats where its coming from.
Coolant should be mixed 50/50 with water with a resulting freeze rating of -45 for cold winter locations.
There are a few ways to flush the coolant, ill let someone else elaborate.
