yea i have the same clunkin noise when i start and shut of my car every once and awhile

 

Finally! My wife and I have been wondering what that sound was... Every time it happens one of us says, "Hello?" without fail.

i experienced this today, freaked the hell outta me :P cool there's a logical answer.

 

i think there was another thread about this a while back, and someone said that it was just the trunk locking mechanism checking itself. could be the fuel thing as well, but to sum it up: EVERYTHING IS NORMAL!!! i hear it about once a month, and it still freaks me out. lol

 

wow im so glad i saw this thread cause my car does that and freaks the hell out of me....
my old car did that but it was when i turned the radio on and the power antenna was bent so the motor would click trying to raise it.
(knock three times on the ceiling if you want me....) lol.
