Hey everyone,

It seems like this problem is fairly common amongst us, but earlier I was shifting into third and I my shifter disconnected from the linkage. the wires are fine, its just the plastic piece that connects to the ball at the end of the shifter.

So what it seems to be is the cable clamp then? Mine was like that a piece inside the cable clamp broke off so i couldnt keep it on i fixed the problem with a twm cable clamp works like a dream Cost me around 90 to have it shipped i can get you a picture of it if you like

If your warranty is still good just get a new one for free but its a common problem for them to break.

Just had the same problem last Friday but I put a new stock plastic piece on for now cause I'm honna just do the twm all in one shot lol

 

Chevy wanted $374.00 for JUST the part....

TWM had an ENTIRE SHORT THROW assembly for $390. Guess what I just bought....

 

Just took apart the.stock shifter and found that the cable clamp was kissing one little white piece that holds the shifter nub. Jesus who would think this shifter was a good design?? It's god awful!!
