Mine cracked the coolant jacket 2 months (119k miles) ago while passing a semi on the freeway at 26psi, drank 3 gallons in 2 days, guess what......I'm still driving that bitch lol, K&W nano head gasket sealer, not drinking anymore coolant, oil is clean, compression is great on all 4, and still runs fine even on about 22psi 93 octane tune on the ZFR. I still owe on this thing and i'm still enjoying it while keeping my eye out for a cheap used long block to drop in sometime. Have i thought about just trading it in and not telling anyone? Sure. You would never know it has a cracked coolant jacket, but karma i think would bite me in the ass.

All that said and done though, I'm not buying a GM again for a very very long time, unless its a C6 vette for a good deal. But I'm switching to an 03/04 cobra next year, may keep the balt as a daily.

UPDATE:
So I came home from work today and thought it was quite weird that my old SS was sitting in my driveway... One of my friends went to the dealer and got a "good deal" on the car and bought it. He said if he knew I was going to trade it in he would have just bought it off me. He's always been interested in my car and this is the only SS running around in the town. And YES he is fully aware of the coolant loss problem.. that's why he already has a built block from ZZP on the way.

Well this should be the end of this thread. I will encourage my buddy to make a build thread for those of you who are interested, although the replies from some of you on this thread made me want to not mention this site at all, but this site has helped me with other issues with the car. Anyway I won't be logging back in because I obviously don't own a SS anymore. Have fun with the SS while it last ( not being sarcastic or an ass) and hope you guys have better luck with yours than I did with mine (you don't even wanna know half the problems I had with this car.. but it is still one of my favorites.)... Even those of you who insulted me. SS FTW!

I did. He knew about this problem before I took it to the dealer. His dad was one of the mechanics I took it to before I traded it in.
