is my resonator bad?

i bought my 07 ss/sc a month ago and ever since when im in 2nd gear accelerating past 2000RPM i get a rattle. So i was under the car today shaking the exhaust to find where it was hitting and couldn't find anything, so i gave the resonator a good hit and it sounded like a pipe on the inside of the resonator was just flopping around and im not expert but i think those should be soild and no loose parts or piping inside of it, and if this means my resonator is bad what should i replace it with, a stock or possibly a magnaflow resonator, im trying to stay budget friendly because i will have to get it welded in at a shop, thanks for the help guys and the car is stock except for an air box mod.

Those Magnaflows burn out after about 20,000 miles. Should have replaced it with a OE resonator as those tend to last the longest. Some factory ones rattle, mine included. I just havent gotten around to replacing it yet

installed\ my magnaflow resonator today and the horrible rattle is completely gone and now the car is a little quieter on start up which is cool. very happy with it besides the fact the guy welded the resonator straight to the downpipe and not on the flange but ohh well.

Follow up:

Replaced my resonator, with the magnaflow, all is good now! The stock resonator broke loose inside, causing all the rattles.
