I wonder if GM will do anything for me? A small leak can get bigger and cause more problems!! What if I did add methanol in there, what would happen?

no meth...just get a signed document from the dealer saying its ok to drive, how often does the dealer need to purge it, is there a chance for long term engine damage and when can you expect it to be repaired.....better yet, take a car person with you, these guys are trained to take charge of a customer's situation and, i.m.o.,try to make the customer's knowledge of cars inferior to them.

I know they are going to fix it but the problem is that the part is on national backorder, with no expected date of getting the part!!! They say it's not gonna cause any damage but they admit they know nothing about our cars and need help understanding them. They thought because I modded my car that i know more than them, yeah right!!

WOW, you had to put the heat on them to get them to get it from another dealer? that means they didnt even put a SPAC case on the part.....thats f*cked up, especially since you work there.

I complained and said that the guys on my forum said that it is dangerous to drive it in the condition it's in and I want it fixed soon. So they might actually fix it tomorrow!!

im glad to hear your getting some quicker service mand,

I took my car in for this problem today and they did a dye check and found no leaks. Is this a sufficient enough test for this problem?

I think im going to take it to another dealer. I told them just the supercharger coolant im worried about, and guess what I see Dye in my radiator res. christ they are dumb.

Sorry to hear about yet another one of you guys ahving to deal with techs that dont pay attention. To answer your question though, NO leak detection dye wont help unless the plan on removing the supercharger to look for it. The leak is internal on the intake manifold

Thats what I thought.

Thanks maven, I see my paperwork says come back in 1 week for evaulation so I intend on leaving it alone for a week and showing up with no coolant in there to prove it to them. I even told the consultant that it could be the laminova core that is leaking. But i dont even think they talk to the techs or care.

The service advisor did not tell me anything about coming back but that is typical he has done that before. The dealership i go to just deals with old ladies and their impalas. I HIGHLY doubt they have ever serviced another SS/SC.

I do have another dealership about 30 miles away in Cocoa that should be better i think, they are a bigger dealership.

Got pushed backe till tomorrow because they are still waiting on a seal for my car. At least the major parts are here and ready to rock and roll. I wonder if this is the reason why I have inconsistant boost????

Damn you guys have tough time with your dealers! that sucks, anything wrong like that on my car where they are worried about it making more problems in the near future if they dont fix it, they dont hesitate to give me a rental.

Sorry to hear about all your troubles, good to hear that you are getting it fixed...

They actually had some room to fit me in today. The mechanic stayed late and got it done!!! So my car is fixed and for some reason is quicker than before!
