No boost?

Ugg here we go again. I finished my SC build on my 2005 2.2L Cobalt. So far everything is running right. A f/r's seem a bit wacky but its not to bad. I had a CEL about crank position or something earlier and Vince retuned me and fixed it so I wen't out for a drive to do a pull or 2. I get going everything sounds good. Get a nice straight away and I go WOT a f/r goes to about 12ish wasn't really paying attention was to happy to hear the SC whine lol. When I did look at the gauges though, my AEM boost gauge was not reading anything. Before I was fine tuned by vince for the CEL it was at 8lbs of boost at like idle and cruise and all the time and now even when I go WOT it stays at like (- - -) on the gauge. Also it is definitely making some boost because it is way way way faster than when I was a stock 2.2 and the whine of the blower is addicting lol. Is it safe to drive if I'm not getting a reading?

Check where u have your aem boost sensor hooked up if u hear the whine and it seems way faster its a vac\boost line that has poped off.

Will do, I had everything ziptied but will double check and make sure no cracks or rips. Thanks!

EDIT: Nope check all my boost vacuum hoses and they are all fine. Everything is on nice and tight. None of the hoses are frayed or cracked or pinched.

You know the small barb/nipple on the intake manifold? Well I have my stock map sensor connected to that with a hose and then I "T'eed" off of that and connected the boost gauge hose to the leg of the "T".

ok so what did you do to the hole where the stock lsj map sensor goes? i modded my map sensor to go into the stock lsj location. then ran the hose from the nipple to the bypass valve like its supposed to be. and Tee'd off of that line for the gauge.

ZZP had a 2.0L MAP sensor already in the blower and the put a metal plug in place of where like Jn2 has his map sensor. Can you snap a pic of how yours is hooked up? The bypass valve is the black cylinder thing on the blower correct? I have the top hose the larger one going to the SC like its suppost and I was told to leave the little one below to vent to the atmosphere.

Don't know if you got this solved or not. I'm not getting what you have on the nipple of the intake mani tho. Only thing that goes to that is the boost gauge line

I got it solved, but I also have my MAP sensor t'eed off from a hose on the manifold nipple. It was like that in the instructions for the ZZP SC kit because they put a metal plug into where most people put the map sensor. Turns out the gauge is faulty. I went to autozone and bought a 30$ boost gauge, hooked it up and it read 9lbs of boost at WOT which is what the kit says my car will make with no other supporting mods. Now I just need to get in contact with AEM and have them replace the gauge and its accessories.
