Odd issue

Over the past few days, when i go to get out of my car after i turn it off, the door wont open. The handle just moved loosely like its broken, from the inside and outside. But if i lock it then unlock, i hear a wierd metal cling by the handle and it works fine again.

Also if it does that when the door is open, then the door will not close shut until i lock, then unlock it again.

It doesnt always do this, every 2nd time i go to get out of the car and it just started a few days ago

Dude... hate to say it but search would answer this. VERY common problem. the latch gets stuck. It just needs some grease and you are all set. You shouldn't even need a warranty to fix it, its such a common mistake and such a simple fix that the dealer should do it for you free of charge.

probably gonna have to fork over the money for a new latch unfortunately

lubing and working the latch may help your issue, but it's temporary

I just replaced mine a few thousand miles ago
