painted headlights now fogging?

painted headlights now fogging?

i painted my head lights last night and sealed them up and everything...now they fog over night and clear during the day....did i cover a vent or something...please put in ur input

GREY RTV clear isnt stock and just looks weird...the grey rtv is found in any autoparts store and matches the grey housings of the stock headlight

oh well i dunno i got clear cuz thats what i saw first haha

and yes the paint was dry but they clear up with the sun and get foggy durin the night...should i drill holes in the bottom

should get some more seleant and put it around the outside of both of them should help out a lot make sure you put a good amount around them

bring them out, mine did this, take out the bulb and blow dry the inside for about 1min each and dont keep it in 1 place move it around, mine have not fogged now for 5months

i did twice....i brought em in and dried them out and fogged up when i put em back in...maybe theyll clear up tomorrow lol

you have condensation...the reason that happens is because cold air is meeting hot air and causing mist... theres a tiny leak somewhere

dude buy that RTV stuff and just run a bead or a couple beads just to make sure on the whole headlight the plastic cover and the back of the headligth where they intersect let it dry and you got a waterproof headlight...I did this and its all gone

Put it back in the oven for a little while and push them together better... then apply sealant around. That's what I did. Fogged up ONE time after that... then never again.

I had the exact same problem after painting mine. I eventually drilled 2 small holes in the bottom of the headlamp to drain any water that gets in there and fabricated 2 breather holes on the top of the headlamps and then painted the casings black. Have not had any fogging issues since I did this 7 months ago.
