The dealership is about the only place to get the part required. I believe the bulb in the steering wheel control is removable... but its so damn tiny I doubt you could even find an LED that small.

If someone has been able to replace their steering wheel control lights with LEDs that'd be awesome news for you, though.

No doubt, I was kinda hoping to skip the dealership...but it looks as if that may be my only option...i'll probably check to see what they charge sometime this week.

Yes you can replace the bulbs in the steering wheel. The bulbs you require are called neowedge I cannot remember the size of the bulb but at least it will put you into the right direction.

Hey guys, I haven't been on here in soooo long, but to help with this I can provide the following info: You can get a complete LED replacement for the individual lights in the steering wheel controls. These are Neo Wedge Twist-locks. You can choose from different colors and two different power levels at Super Bright LED's (www.superbrightleds.com). I haven't pulled my switches out yet to confirm what size to order. If anyone knows which size we need, please inform us.

05/06 use incandescent bulbs. Finding replacements is difficult. I bought some from a site a long time ago. They were too bright and got too hot. Most people use 3mm 12v LED's as replacements. Make sure they are 12volt led's or they will burn up. led-switch.com has good prices on these. You'll need to pop the switches out of the wheel. Twist and remove the bulb holders from the back side. Remove the burned bulb, replace with your LED and reinsert it. LEDs are polarized so, if you put it in and it doesn't light up, untwist the bulb holder, rotate it 180 degrees and put it back in. If you want to keep the color of the bulbs close to stock, the closest you can come is the "warm white" LED. Make sure you transfer the blue silicone filter from the old bulb over to the LED. It wont be exact but it should be close.

07+ use SMT LED's 0805's will work just fine but they are smaller than what was used stock. I used 1210's from superbrightbulbs.com

05-06 uses t3. 3mm will not fit. It's way too big.
