Tranny Mount Shattered
Wow that is just crazy that it broke like that. Monday I will see If I can order up a stock mount and we will see if we can make a stronger aftermarket mount. Unless you want to send us your broken mount.

i dont know how mine broke thats the thing. i was under my car and i saw a huge crack going across it. the thing is, it had scuffs on the bottom of the mount, so they said i probably bottomed out. i just dont see how its possible for the mount to touch ground, lol
this sux another warranty fight, there is just to many problems with these balts, i will have to look at the location, but for our cars to bottom out woulndt that mean we would feel that pretty hard, in fact i thought that our springs had bumpstops so they only travel so far as well
ehh.... I'd have driven it until the tranny broke loose and totally trashed the rest of the drivetrain... then sued GM.... no way a 2.2 automatic should be producing anywhere near enough power to shatter a mount.

Looking at the pictures again- the one picture (the last one) DOES show some significant rusted scrape marks on your cradle as well as on the small aluminum tab on the mount itself
Did you drive over a cement parking block or something? Sure looks like it.
How else would you get engagment onto the rear of the cradle like that?
It certainly doesnt look like rock damage as you indicated (unless you drove over a melon sized BOULDER!)
Doubt you'll get warranty for driving over something that scraped the bottom like that.
Depending on what exactly happened,I would suspect your engine oil pan shows some "signs" as well...

It doenst make any sense though, I have the SS/SC bumper, if something actually hit the underside of the car, dont you think it wouldve taken out my bumper, which is much lower than the rest of the car?
Keep in mind, my car was totalled a year ago, people. lol

It's totally possible to drive over a parking block (or other "curb" type object) that easily gets under the front bumper then lands right on the mount when the wheels hop over
Either way, you'll be very lucky to get it covered by warranty...

I dont drive over large objects, lol.
It know its happened recently, because it wasnt like that when I last changed the oil
I also know that I haven't hit anything or bottomed out since the last time I change my oil either, which is why none of this makes sense to me
