but i had a problem last night...that very top right bolt on the header (if you would look at it from the back). was a bitch to get in..like the head of the bolt rubs on the primary and i cant get it tightened all the way down.
the back of the bolt is about 1mm from the flange of the header but it wont go anymore....i think my friend cross threaded the whole stud (whole thing came out.)
could i have fucked up my stud or the block?
i cant get it in or out any further..will it leak?

thanks guys, im really worried
had the same exact problem, i got it in with a crescent wrench and a shitload of patience. me and my brother took turns twisting. took about an hour to get that one bolt in.

yep, same thing. we had to use a small wrench and angle it outwards, so we didn't have the best grip on it. but took our time and got it in. like i said it took about an hour to get that one nut on. you can always just check to see if it leaks, have someone start the car and give a quick rev while you're holding your hand around that area. better do it quick though because after 20 seconds of running it will probably be enough to burn your hand.

ok thanks, i tightened down the header to downpipe bolts and checked the connections for the second O2 sensor, and everything seems fine. there were some little kinks/cuts where the wires of the O2 sensor were bent up against the heat shield. again the DTC was P0137

i hope its not that one bolt on the header flange leaking because i dont know if i can tighten it any more...

i took a 15" screwdriver and just bent the heat shield all the way back to make room. try what i did with the small wrench. the wrench i got it with was only about 6" long. if i didn't post earler, after a bunch of small twists with the open end wrench i was finally able to get the socket on.

FYI a metric grade 8.8 bolt is the equivalent of a sae grade 5. the bolts zzp sent you are grade 9, much stronger. although the washers they send leave a lot to be desired.
