Getting nightshade off....

I recently tinted my tails... Outer ones came out damn near perfect. Inner ones ran a little (guess i didn't sand 'em enough)...

I am going to redo the inner ones.

To get the VHT off I want to use lacquer thinner and like a rag or something.

My bro keeps saying I should wet sand it off... (he works in a car shop and has the needed stuff)

What's the best way?

if that fails... wet sand it. 1000, 1500, then use 2000 grit paper

adheasive remover. You can use lacquer thinner but they will for sure need to be buffed after. Some rubbing alcohol should work too.

Another person to have problems with the 2 inner tails. I had mine done by my friend - 4 tails, 3rd brake light, and the 2 side reflectors. Washed the car and the night shades on the 2 inners came right off - this was like a few days after doing them too. Maybe use a green dish scowering pad on those and also some light grit sand paper.

Clearcoat = FTW.

Nightshades gets crappy in the sun without cleacoat, make em shiny and clean like the car paint.

mine are nightshaded as well and i always had problems with the inner tail lights peeling off. i fixed it by redoing them and then clear coating them. perfect now. and it looks better.
