I just got an idea for the spam situation

I know alot of people are annoyed and want to intially keep people from make new threads all together which I feel will do more harm than good from a new persons standpoint...

Well, I joined an Treo forum (for Palm One Treo phones) and i went to post a link for something that was on their website asking a question and I hit post and it didn't make the thread and said to me "Due to spam situation, people with newbie status are not allowed to post links".

I think that its a great idea...rather than keeping me as a new person to the forum from posting, I just can't post a link, which is the whole purpose of a spam message which is to post a link to something they are advertising. So maybe restricting people from posting links rather than posting all together is a great idea in my opinion.

What you guys think?

The spam infiltration seems pretty low actually.

Hey Adam, how many forums are you on now?
