Should CSS.net hide Post Count?
#126
I don't see why it should even be an issue!
People do pleanty of whoring in the tech threads so how would taking away the ***** thread posts really prove how knowledgeable someone is?
It still doesn't mean someone knows much just because they post a lot in the tech section.
What is the reason for wanting a change anyways? People are believing what someone says just because they have tons of posts? Typically many respond and correct answers in the tech section so I don't see the problem!

i'm sure she didn't join just to *****. she went premium afterwards and noticed there was a ***** section that she just spends most of her time in.

BTW personally I give a lot of credibility to those that I have chatted with in the ***** thread! They may not know much engine/technical stuff, but for a parts sale I would be a lot more comfortable.
Also, I give more trust to members that have been here for a longer amount of time, even if the post counts are very low, 200<

I agree in that the lounge/dungeon posts should not count towards post count.
As it has been said many times in this thread people can be "fooled" by someone with a high post count. When I want to talk too someone I look first at the join date, then at the post count to see who I think would be credible.
I am more likely to ask a technical question to someone who has 1000 posts and been here since 2006 then someone with 1000 posts and been on for only a couple of months.
Maybe???

OK... first of all working 3rds at a hotel... you have LOTS of spare time. If i didn't get my work done do you think i'd still have access to the internet?
And ever thing that maybe I don't post in other threads is cause i am just learning and have nothing to contribute? I have learned ALOT in the year i have been a memeber of this forum, but I do not feel like i have learned alot to contribute. Plus i'd say i read a good 70% of all new posts every night. Just because i *****, doesnt mean i come to this site to only *****.

The good thing about this site is that there is places for us to pretty much talk about anything.
I am getting tired of the guys looking for relationship help on a forum. There are WAY too many threads about that going around. But i just choose not to read them and stay within the technical section and my regional section most of the time.
