Well today was a busy day for me. After about 5 hours and alot of trial and error and sanding, I finally tinted my tails and side markers and installed Blue Fog lights. Check it out

i liked the nighshade. Ran like a bitch and it was a bunch of trial and error to get what I want. Wouldnt wanna do it again. But satisfied with end result.
Stripes are still undecided. I like the look I got going right now. Next thing is getting windows tinted.

yea it ran really bad for me. but i got it fixed. and i have been thinking about doing those little stripes on the finder, instead of racing stripes.

I got the windows tinted on the Balt last year, ran about 120 which really isn't bad, now it's time to tint the GTI, and get some money ready for the P-Chip and FMIC/BOV, and turbo back exhaust. Then i'll go for the K04 turbo.
P-Chip is a reprogramming chip that is soldered directly to the ECU which adjust the AF/R, timing, the limiter, the gov'ner, and the factory boost setting. So with me having a MK4 rated at 180hp, the chip itself has been proven with my car to raise it to 220-245 depending on supporting mods, so i figure that will be first, then with the larger turbo, intercooler, and exhaust, i should be right around 300hp before i'm done with that. Shaping up to be a quick little bastard. I have so far named it "The Blue Beast", ordering a gauge pod in a few minutes for my boost gauge and AF/R gauge once it comes in and i install everything, then i'll take pics of the car!!

yeah...but after careful consideration and long hours of thought into it, to achieve what i want with the cobalt (performance wise) i would be spending damn near what i bought the car for, now as for the VW, i can spend 2500 and be running nice numbers (around 300hp on stock internals from 180hp stock)...yeah the Cobalt is a huge money pit unless you buy an SS or eqv.
Funny thing is, i was on my way to negotiate for an SS/TC and the dealership that had the one i wanted was closed, so we went to look at some Jetta's for the wife and ended up buying a GTI on the spot, and 600 a month for Two Cars is way better than paying 600 a month for a SS/TC. So, i'm happy.
