Sex drugs and rock and roll!! It would be nice to be at a track, but i dont know the tracks in the area, and we need a track that will let us run, so if we cant find that, i suggest a restaurant, and some open roads somewhere...

It's an 1/8th, but I don't think we have any options for a 1/4 anyways..

They dont have a listing for what they are doing on the 20th of October, so that may be bad news.. I think i'll try emailing and see what they suggest..

If a few from my area are gonna do it, than I am in so I could follow. Not sure whats up for that day or weekend but work is not hard to put time in as longs as its in a week or so. As for a track, does not matter to me, I do not have a SC and just like to meet up w/ people and not big on racing.

So does anyone know of a track we could run around mid October? If we cant find one soon, I will say we just meet at a restaurant because i dont want the momentum of this meet to die off..

So anyone know of a track that will allow us to run?

Guess it is true, weakest state when it comes to forming a meet. Even after a good # say they are in, its not a good turn out.

For me its a matter of how far, if its like 2+ hours than its an iffy thing depending on what is all going to happen. If its around here, than I well damn well try to be there provided I do not have to work. Another factor is, I am still getting used to getting around here even though I have been here for 7 years, one thing I hate is not knowing where I am going.

well, I am up for it....after there is a decision on where the hell it's going to be lol. Are there any good parks around where we could all meet up an BBQ and stuff??? That would be fun, since the weather might actually be cooling off a little soon....hopefully

AH the thread isnt dead i see..

Well, any city will have some good parks to BBQ at, so I can search(and have been) for parks in fayetteville, since it seems to be pretty central to NC, and semi close to SC..

Anyone in the area have a specific park they think is best, or should I just choose one at random?

Or maybe someone has a better idea for a meeting spot since we should just scrap the idea of a track meet..

While im not even close to being active here I wouldnt mind a semi reasonable drive from home to meet a few other owners in the area. While the closer to me the better it is for me I would consider Fayetteville, but let's face it, not exactly "middle of the road" for an "NC Piedmont Meet".

Of course I have no clue if there are enough members in the more north/western areas of the piedmont to consider shifting the meeting location that direction, but just a thought. I know I've seen ten or so SS owners just in the Thomasville-Salisbury trips I used to make each day, but again do they even know about this site or care.

Oh well I'll check back and once something's decided I'll make my decision. Track or no track I don't care. Location will likely be the deciding factor for me.

I saw any nice sized park would be a good idea.....just as long as they have plenty of parking available.

I will be in the Fay. area on the 14th of this month doing some work there with some local companies. If you give me some parks to look at I can try and drive to them and get an idea of how big they are etc. If not i can look around and see whats around. I know we have several Fay memebers on the board they should chime in......

we could also try for Benson's track?

The park and BBQ sounds like a great idea. Once and if we decide on a location it would be wise for us to figure out who WILL be there and than have each person bring something, like drinks and the food. Not guaranteeing anything but since I work as a Meat Cutter for Food Lion I might be able to get a great deal on some meats(keyword, MIGHT).

at the foodlion i used to work at, the meat guys would always print me off a new pricing sticker and slap it on whatever i wanted. so i got meat for about 1/4 of the price.

Yea, shush though. I get sick of cheap ass people coming up to me asking what is getting marked down. Talk about a freakin aggravation. Not saying you are cheap, I get what you are saying on that end but I mean plain customers that think they own the place and set the prices and blah blah hahaha. Hating my job in general(besides the pay) also makes me bitter.

oh, i'm pretty cheap. haha.. but most of the time the meat guys would just hook me up when i came through shopping without me asking. guess thats the beauity of working at that hell hole. next time someone asks you whats getting marked down, drop some meat on the floor, then say 'oh, look, 50% off!'

haha, yea I hook up some people but nothing I could get fired for. I am sick of it mainly cause in the mornings I well be out there checking the case and doing some reductions and there is always 1 or 2 people standing over me! I feel like saying "listen ****, its 7am in the *****-fu<kin morning. Get the fu<k away from me and find something else to do instead of standing right here in my space or I well cut the ever-living **** out of you than grind your ass up and sell you to everyone else!" I mean it is really pathetic w/ some of these people and yea I understand people are in rough times but so am I or I would not be working at FL and driving an cobalt haha.
