J-body guys -

Anyone know how hard it is to change out an alternator on a '97 Z24 Cavalier? I think it may be dead. Hopefully just the battery, but the way it died is very suspicious, and if memory serves me right the battery was just replaced earlier this year.

 

its pretty simple on the ld9 motors from what i can recall. nothing should really be in the way. you can reach teh tensioner from the top, and it should be 3 bolts that come out from the front of the alternator.

 

That's gonna be one drunk weekend... I have a party on the night of the 28th which everyone is invited to (Halloween party so come dressed up) Tyler's going away party and another Halloween party that night.

Yep, looks like it's dead. New battery, still have dash light on. Going to get it tested once she gets off work tomorrow...anyone want to help me change it tomorrow night?
