not really, interior is close to perfect and so is the outside, except for a couple of things that I didn't care since it was supposed to be a toy for autox, and to do track days, it was hit from behind before I got it, but not damaged much, just a dent on the trunk floor, and it needs an engine rebuild, which is why I was just gonna scrap it and put in the 1.8, it's a '91, and it's been sitting forever so it'll need new tires and a lot of tlc, I could get $1k easy for it but I don't care, I just wanna get it out of my garage to make room, some dude was gonna buy it last year, but he got sick and had to use the money on hospital bills, I had already started to disassemble it a long time ago so I just put it together and got it running for him to roll it out, but **** happens, it'll probably start right now if I put a new battery and some new gas in it, like **** but it'll run, lol

I was gonna get the motor from an 98 miata that was hit from behind hard, it was in a junker on broadway, but never got around to cause me and the wife decided to buy a house, so all the play money got held until, then after buyin the house I got my first bike and **** was over from then on, lol, my other option for a motor was a ford escort gt, I was gonna get from a cheap donor car in craigs list, the car was running then so I was gonna drive it until the 1.6 blew (which is kinda hard to do on them little 1.6s, they go forever, lol), and rebuild the 1.8 in the meantime, and save for the suspension bits and the turbo kit from flyin miata, I had a lot planned but them damn bikes had to spoil everything for the poor miata, lol

Hey Yakko, I just checked out your superchips fail and big balt problems threads. Damn! What is up with all of the freakin' trash talkers? You would think that you were talking to a bunch of freaking professional mechanical engineers. I hate the way people get on here and talk like they know what they are talking about. IMBECILES!!! All of these guys goin' on about all this techno-babble. They don't even tune their own cars!! They give it to someone else to tune it, and then want to talk **** like they compiled the data tables themselves! I hope they have to drive a Prius in hell for all eternity.

Does anyone know the deal with the no loose items in car rule at the albuqueque dragway? Will they not let me run if I have an ipod in the seat or something like that? Also, what about the trunk? everything gotta be out? I plan on taking out all of my stuff but want to know if I need to go to the hotel first and drop everything off before going to the track.

Right on. Thanks Nal. I am planning to not have much in the car just wanted to be sure. I can't wait 'til Friday!!

Yakko, don't let them get you down. I'm with you. You are happy with the tune and it works. That is all that matters. Forget the haters. The true face of jealousy is ugly isn't it? A superchips cortex will be my first upgrade. My car is still under warranty and it will be nice to be able to return it to stock whenever I want.

yeah they never said anything to me before. if they do just tell them you will take it out when you race....when you go to get teched you will need to show them your battery in the trunk so they can verify it is secured. but thats about it

Don't worry, if it does we'll just have to play "Click, Click, Boom" on that section of the meet video. LOL
You'll get major style points!

They've never asked me too look in the trunk for the battery O.o Yeah, I think I'll leave the tool set at home this friday. Probably gonna take it out and just leave it out. damn thing slides all over the place in my trunk. Accell too hard and you can hear it crash into something.

Yakko, I'm sure you won't be the first one to break something racing at the track :P

So I've been working on my launching and shifting for a few days now and I've decided that I can't get the NLS between 1st and 2nd down, but at the same time I've found out that if I just shift super fast regularly my boost doesn't fall below 10psi. Am I sifting too fast for it to drop off completely??

Don't know for sure but it sounds like your getting back on the throttle fast enough to keep the turbo spooling. I hit the 1st to 2nd NLS pretty good by pulling back out of 1st hard as soon as the clutch releases just enough to break torque. It slips into 2nd just about the time the clutch pedal gets about 1/2 way to 3/4 way down. I don't push the clutch all the way to the floor because the shift is so fast. It may feel better for you to hit the floor with the clutch, idk, it is kind of a "feel" thing. If you pull back strongly in one smooth motion, without jerking, it should slip right into 2nd. It helps to get to know the feel of your clutch really good by slowly pushing it in while staying on the throttle to feel where the "break point" is. Once you know where that is in relation to the clutch pedal travel, you will know where to start the pull out of 1st. Hope this helps?
