D2 Racing Coilovers and Springs
what is the drop height with the LNF turbo? how are these compare to the Pedders lowering springs? Less harsh, more handling than drop looks? Still got the sale going?

3.5 " is max drop
These don't even come close to lower springs as far as ride quality and perfroamnce. These coilovers are smooth as anything to drive on but are also stiff and can handle being beaten on.
Sale is still going on

OMG im pissed! i just purchased BC coilovers but i wanted D2's but didnt want to spend 1400 on them and now they are one sale for 875 damit lol. Oh well in sure ill be happy with my BC's once they arrive. Im familiar with D2's products and they are defanitly high quality from all angles!
Ill back up my statements with a quote from a vendor on another forum that works with these companies, been to their plants, and sees how they are made.
"D2 and Ksport are the same, made in Korea, very cheap.
BCR and Megan are made in Taiwan, not the same as D2/Ksport.
Compared to Megans, BCR coilovers have bigger internals, beefier shock bodies, locking lower rings (so the height adjustment rings don't work loose), and a better damping curve. They end up being a lot more compliant over rough surfaces. And they tend to last a little longer.
Overall the BCR coilovers are just a nicer piece, for just a bit more money.
Bigger internals means more surface area for the shim stacks and valves, which leads to a smoother ride and better tuning of damping. The larger shock bodies means more room for the internals and a stiffer cartirdge, which means it will hold up to much more abuse. The BCR coilovers also come with a coarser thread, so you can adjust ride height easier
and quickly.
Also FYI - Pillowball bearings will provide a more direct and solid feeling in your suspension but they will also make the ride a bit more harsh and transfer more noise and vibration. So BCR provides the option of pillowball OR rubber mounts. "
Not trying to hurt your business, Im just letting people know what they are buying...
To make claims like that your going to have to back them up. Just sayin. Considering D2 makes Ksport I would put them on the same level. BC on the other hand is better in every way then D2 and Ksport. Better in quality of the piece as a whole, better and closer to linear valving, longer durability and, better customer service. Not saying BC is perfect but much better than all other budget brands. I had to lol at the guy that would return the BC's for these. The only thing I like about Ksports and D2 is the fact that they have a teflon coating on the threads that really help in winters and doesnt wear off compared to other companies zinc coating.

Backing it up won't be a problem.
-D2 and K Sport are not made by the same company first of all. They are two completely different companies.
-D2 are not jmade in korea they are made in Taiwan.
-D2 has indivudal adjustability to adjust each coilover as 1 unit
-D2 uses pillowball mounts made steel bearings. Rubber is crap.
-D2 uses 52mm shock bodies. Thats not beefy?
-All D2 racing has locking collars.
-Fully rebuildable in the U.S. with an outstanding customer service and 2 warehouses in the United States.
BCR is made in China first of all. The rear lower mounts on BC are all steel where as the rear lower mounts on D2 is aluminum. Aluminum is more expensive and lighter.
Hope thats sufficient.
Your information is severely wrong my friend so before you take anyone elses statements made you should do a compare yourself. HAve you ever owned a set of D2 coilovers? Ever have both of them sent out to third party dynos. Ever think other vendors are giving you the wrong information?
-It appears that way since what you claim is "backing your statements" is incorrect information.
Are you comparing a D2 RS coilover to a BC BR? Thats a pretty bad comparison if thats so because the RS are the low model coilvers. while the BR are the highest. We can compare say the D2 Drift Spec and the BR and you'll see a huge difference.
I appreciate your last line about not trying to hurt my business. Because I feel what you wrote actually will show people the major differences between the 2. So Thank you.
P.S. If you want to test out a shock to compare, D2 will be more than happy to send you one :-)

Well played, sir.
I have not personally dynoed both of them as I do not have money to buy two sets and do that. However my friend that I worked with did have D2 on his civic and after the first winter the aluminum bottom mount seized to the shock body making height adjustment without affecting preload impossible. He did like the ride but he never used them for racing so I cant say how they performed.
However after reading countless reviews, independent and in magazines, 99% did seem to like them. I think the review Modified Magazine did for their RX-8 build really shows the pro's and con's on the set-up. Im not going to BS you about having personal experience with BC as I dont know anyone personally that had them. I just feel they are better, but I can admit if I am wrong. I really would like to see shock dynos for the D2 ones though.
Do these have the teflon coating on the threads to prevent corrosion?

The teflon coating does prevent corrosion. I have had them on my personal vehicle for some time in NY winters without any rust. ABout 4 years now.
D2 also has remarkable customer service. We are one of the largest D2 distributors on the east coast and there is never a problem or concern we can't fix. And if the problem can't be fixed, D2 will have that full part replaced.
The spend countelss hours everyday just on technical questions including pros/cons of different ride settings, adjustability and just simple maintance.

everything rusts and goes to **** overtime only thing you can do is slow the process down by taking good care of it & cleaning well. I have seen TEIN springs off a buddies rsx & they were falling apart, I have these springs & haven't had any problems w/them what so ever. Rides great & the stance they give the car is great. I was at a local cobalt dyno day & 1 of the guys knew they weren't the springs you normally see on cobalts just because of the stance the springs gave the car. Just saying for the price & warranty theres no reason not to buy these springs, I don't know about the coil overs but if they are as good as stated then I would stand behind them on their word.
