Thanks again for your order and for your cooperation. Without your car we would not have been able to bring this header/down-pipe to market so quickly.

We have already started production of the 1 5/8" primary tube headers. We will be swapping tooling over to 1 3/4" next week and should have your header ready for install roughly next Wednesday.

Also, we have 5 confirmed orders thus far. If we do not hit 10 or more by this Friday, June 6th, we will end the GP and complete the production run next week.

Thanks to those of you who ordered. As a small shop we pride ourselves in building the best headers and exhaust systems available in the United States.

Everytime I read here there is a new post by Dan.. I really admire that you're trying to get everyone an affordable header and you're not being all shady about it.

You're backing up your product. I really respect that.. You can probably look forward to getting my Deposit Shortly.

Thanks,

Matt.

I agree it is short. But I do not want to hold-up others who have already placed their order. However, since you have expressed interest, as well as a couple PM's I have received with interest, we will extend this to Next Friday, June 13th. LOL Friday the 13th.

Thanks.

So basically.. Anyone that sends payment or deposit will have to wait until June 13th before you ship out the item?

Thanks Matt,
it's tough being a small shop and keeping in communication. We belong to just a few forums so we understand how important it is. I usually run between working in the shop to running around town to answering email, PM's and forum posts. I sometimes even get to talk on the phone.

Anyways, we're doing our best to develope new products and refine current products for this community.

Thanks for your comments and support.

OK, so your mid length will not work with the rest of the stock system? Will it work with the stock cat back? I'm not sure if anyone else asked but I know people will.

Oh, I was asking because of the design. Wasn't sure if this could hook up to the stock DP, catback, etc.

I've talked with Dan several times and he truely wants to work with us and get the best performance possible. Heading off to his shop now... will post new pictures around 8pm.

We are not going to bill anyone until the GP is closed. No deposit required, just a genuine interest. Next Friday the GP will close. On Monday, Beth and I will start contacting everyone who has called and placed their pre-order. At this time we will process your cards or request PayPal or money orders, etc. We will have several headers built and the only thing remaining will be the down-pipes.

Our down-pipe can be made to work with the factory cat-back, as ColeJJones confirmed above, or we can leave it as a slip-fit, as many have already requested. Pretty much, we can offer just about anything to do with tubing, end forming, flaring, reducing, etc.

We are looking at 04Redline's exhaust tonight to see about building and offering our own exhaust systems. We can do either aluminized steel or 304 stainless steel. 2 1/2", 3" or a combination of both. (I'll get into that later). Let's keep this thread on subject: "New header & down-pipe sale". I will start another thread about the exhaust if it's something I decide i want to get involved in. We are trying to work with this community to offer the best parts possible but I can not sacrifice current, pending projects for R&D if there is not enough interest or not anyone willing to commit.

More later. Thanks everyone.

I'll have some pictures of the R&D header and down-pipe (with converter) up-loaded in a few minutes. Man you guys are quick responding... I didn't even have time to sneeze.

I just finished up-dating our website. I added the picture to the original post above and all GP prices are now listed.

We will be doing some exhaust work on the car again Monday before dyno tuning. If there's time, we will build an extyra exhaust system to set-up for prodution later.

As always, comments are welcome.
Thanks again.
i have a 3inch cobalt addiction downpipe will this header bolt up to it?

Yesterday weather wasn't to good and drove the car to his shop today.... feels alot better and sounds good. I was hesitant at first because i like the quiet sound of the stock exhaust. but with the performance i made and the sound doesn't sound nearly as raspy as most combo's i'm completely satisfied. For the price and dedication Dan put into this is hard to find. Videos are loading very slowly and will post whenever they are finished. The Silver one has a magnaflow cat-back from Clear Image and mine (black) is the stock cat back. I think the size primaries is what made the difference with our dyno numbers.... a .25 inch difference is a pretty big volume difference. And I think the velocity cone made a big difference in the sound as well.

I like how the Black Redline Sounds with this header downpipe combo on the stock exhaust.. I was hoping that it would not sound bad and .. I'm not disappointed.. Great.
