Dan I forgot to ask. Will this header fit the stock downpipe? What is the diameter difference of yours to stock?

no it wont (clearly) it will not bolt up to aftermarket downpipes either. if u want to use an existing downpipe u will need to cut it and have it welded together (or weld on a connector to the downpipe to then "bolt on").

the header exit is 3" (2.5" if u get the tri-y)

Header will NOT bolt to the stock down-pipe. The header is much longer. We can modify the stock down-pipe if you guys want to send them in.

Yes, our header/dp combo will bolt to the stock cat-back exhaust system. Or a stock replacement exhaust system from any other company.

I did answer in post #132.

The header Will NOT fit the stock down-pipe. No mid-length or long tube header will work with the stock down-pipe. But we can modify your stock down-pipe if you want to send it in.

Thanks again.

No big deal. There's lot of info here and he and I were posting at roughly the same time. Probably just got missed during a "refresh".

Yes, our exhaust will bolt to any and all after market exhaust systems as long as the after market system is made to bolt to a factory down-pipe.

Also, we are doing the R&D of our exhaust system on Thursday. You may just want to wait and see what we have to offer before going with another exhaust system.

An "initial offering sale" will be available.

Thanks for your interest in our products.

Absolutely. Here's a couple pictures of what we use:
http://www.clearimageautomotive.com/P1010108.JPG

400 cell on the left, good for up to 590 cfm with 3" inlet & outlet. Passes emissions.
100 cell on the right. We actually don't have flow rates on this substrate but suffice it to say it's better than the 400. However, it is stricly for racing ONLY. I seriously doubt they would reduce emissions enough to pass any tail-pipe test.

These converters are the latest technology substrate. They are 100% stainless steel, both the core and body. They can be mirror polished but we don't bother. Simply because polishing any exhaust part is a waste of time and money. It sure looks pretty coming out of the box but within minutes, stainless turns yellow, gold or brown depending on the amount of heat applied. We leave the flash marketing to other companies and concentrate on performance, fit and finish here.

No problem. Everything will still work together.

Umm, what if our state doesn't have emissions checks? Do we get to choose the cat?

<~~I realize it says NY but registered in FL.

Legally speaking, any computer controlled vehicle equipped with a catalytic converter from the factory must retain that converter. It is illegal to tamper with or remove the converter and is subject up to $50,000.00 in fines and/or 5 years imprisonment.

That being said, we have down-pipes available with 100 cell converters or no converter for "Off-road use ONLY. Never to be used on a state or federal highway".

"Caveat Emptor" = Let the buyer beware.

Did you guys figure anything with a cat-back exhaust? If you put it in here I must've missed it.

Got it. Invoice and reply sent. Thanks very much for the order.

Also, I forgot to reply with the number of orders in this GP. We now have 8 pre-ordered thus far.

With the request to extend this GP, we will bump the end date from June 13 to June 27.
Thanks again everyone.

We have a Pontiac G5 coming down for R&D of the exhaust system Thursday. We will then test fit on a Cobalt and Ion and make any changes to each model as required. We should have a production exhaust kit available to order next Monday.
