I was checking out the chrono road also. I found an overall height spec for them of 36.5" but couldn't find a spec for the r100 to compare. In the pics the r100 look fairly narrow which leads me to believe there is enough room width wise, just have to check height.

I will probably have to get this at some point or another. I scrap my head on the ceiling without even trying so this will work out nicely with the 1in extra head room.

They are pretty comfy for a high bolstered seat. When you get back to WI I will let you check out my seats.

Looks good. I made my own before these came out and look similar.

You should consider keeping some non powder coated for people to weld on mounts for other brands of seats.

will this fit the hhr ss? i don't know if they share the same mounting locations. the hhr seat is considerably taller than the cobalt seat tho so im sure some minor mods would have to be done to get the seat up to a height that you can see over the steering wheel

I am guessing they would fit, look like a copy of the sparco slider. You would have to provide me dimensions or a template of the sliders mount hole positions, and the seat anchors points .

Pretty much any cloth seat is better than a leather seat for grip and breathing. Perforated leather breathes better, but not as well as cloth...race seats are not made in leather

So you would have to use an aftermarket seat, these brackets will not work just to simply lower the stock seat?

these brackets are designed to work for aftermarket seats. stock seats have a fairly elaborate structure underneath to faciliate up, down forward and back adjustment plus recline, so that means higher installed height.
aftermarket seats just go forward and back and recline if its built into the seat. I have not looked at reverse engineering the bracket to fit a stock seat, anything is possible, not sure that its worth it, unless you are very tall and dont care about the up/down feature, etc.

By far. I bought my seats because I was getting sick of sliding around in them and having to brace myself when on the track. It allows you to concentrate more on driving.
