2.2 springs now on 2.4
2.2 springs now on 2.4
Some of you may have remembered that I started a thread a few weeks back titled "start flaming" I had the idea to remove my sport springs and put stockers on from an ls/lt model. Well its done. The results are surprising. The ride feels sporty and sedan like at the same time. General ride feel is the same as the stock springs (I have a 2.4). But when one hits rough road, potholes, the impact doesnt come ripping through the chassis anymore or into my ass. Its alot more comfortable. Still a little bumpy and noisy. Partly due to crap insultion inside and the still stock 17 inchers (Hell if I'm getting rid of them, there sweet looking). Ride height seems unchanged, though I didn't measure beforehand. As far as the handling, I was surprised I didn't loose too much. I have yet to push it hard around corners, which I rarely did before hand, but daily whooping around corners, it hardly leans. The only thing I noticed is when doing a hard acceleration that backend squats a tad. It actually kind of makes me feel like I'm moving faster than I am. Well thats my review. I now have a "sporty/sedan ride"
lol, you did put a lift but hey, if its a nicer ride than go for it. you will have SS' wanting to buy base springs for 12 hour roadtrips. LOL. I am sure the ride height is different but since you didnt measure you can't really tell. My stock height on my 2.2 was 27 in the front and 28 in the back. go out and measure and see where you stand.
