2009 SS strut replacement and now car sits higher in front.

Hello, new to the forum. Hoping you guys can help. Recently bought my son a 2009 Cobalt ss. It needed the struts replaced. Went to Rockauto and bought Monroe 172179 quick struts. After replacing them I noticed the frontend is visibly higher than the rear. The rear shocks were replaced at the same time. I guess I just assumed that since I was searching under an 09 SS that I would be looking at the Fe3 or Fe5 struts. Can someone tell me if I screwed up and put Fe1 struts on? I also replaced the sway bar links with the 9 inch Moogs. Any info is appreciated.

You put FE1 struts on. There are no FE5 quick struts, rockauto shows them as an option because they fit.

Damn, I should have done my research. Too many cars and not enough time. I have a 2015 Challenger with BC coilovers and Eilbach pro's and it handles great.
Can you give me some ideas on a replacement set up? I have been searching the threads and people are all over the place with their set ups. Looking to get back to the original set up or better without spending a grand. Again, all info is appreciated.

You can easily pick up an OEM FE5 setup for much less than $1K. Only thing I'd recommend is some KYB strut mounts over OEM.

Check out crate engine depot. They have factory fe5 shocks and struts. The also sell a complete plug and play kit with Powell yyz springs which make the car handle extremely well while also lowering it like 3/4". They are progressive handling springs that are worth the money. I had the same setup then down the road I upgraded the shocks/struts to koni but you don't want to spend that much.
